When Kim Reed Perell of Adconion Direct was interviewed in the New York Times and spoke about qualifying candidates in interviews, her 2 poignant questions directed at the candidates were ground breaking for me.
She said that the 2 questions that really gives her insights into her candidates are:
1. What would your past employer like to change about you?
2. What would your former colleagues like to change about you.
I then became introspective and decided to work on myself while still in the employ of my present employer.
To take my career to another level I asked the same questions and tweaked them a bit.
1. What will my current employer like to change about me?
2. What would my current colleagues like to change about me.
It goes without saying: identifying this is of no use if you don’t come out with some changes and commit to the turnaround.
How about making it your turn now?
